Ann Jaloyce Erickson

Ann Jaloyce Erickson, age 75 of Hills, MN died Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 6th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hills, MN, with Rev. Grant Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Hills, MN. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 5th from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, with the family present from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Hills. Ann Jaloyce Erickson was born October 2, 1939 in Luverne, Minnesota to Alvin M. and Anna Lena (Thone) Finke. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Hills High School. Ann continued her education and earned a degree from the Minnesota School of Business. She then worked in Dr Getman's Optometrist office in Luverne, MN. On August 19, 1961 she was united in marriage to Dennis Erickson at the United Methodist Church in Luverne, Minnesota. The couple farmed their entire married life near Hills. To this union four children were born: Lee, Tadd, Aaron, & Camilla. She was a wonderful wife and mother to her family. She had a big heart and her concern was always for others. A pleasant and gracious woman, Ann placed her needs after those of everyone else in her life. Ann never failed to acknowledge a loved one's special day, with either a phone call or a card, even when she became very ill. For several years, after her family was raised and gone, Ann enjoyed working in the activities dept. of the Tuff Home in Hills, MN. She was a wonderful cook, and if there was anyone visiting or working around the farm at meal time, she would welcome them to her table. This past Saturday, August 1st, 2015, Ann passed away with her family by her side. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Dennis Erickson of Hills, MN; sons, Lee (Christie) Erickson of League City, TX, Tadd (Janine) Erickson of Marshall, MN, and Aaron (Heather) Erickson of Beaver Creek, MN; daughter, Camilla (Curt) Heydt of Sargeant, MN; 9 grandchildren: Lauren, Jacobi, Alex, Bo, Calvin, Ethan, Mya, Kyal, & Karver; sisters, Linda Finke of Sioux Falls, SD and Mary (Dan) Siegfried of Valley Springs, SD; brother, Jon (Sheri) Finke of Luverne, MN; nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Alvin Jr & Billy Finke.
