Ashton, IA Donna Imhoff, age 76 of Ashton, IA died suddenly Monday, October 26, 2015 at her home in Ashton, IA. Memorial Mass will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ashton, with Father Siby Punnoose as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Ashton, IA. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 28th from 2:00 to 7:00 PM, with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ashton. There will be a Rosary at 5:00 PM and a Vigil service at 7:00 PM that evening. Donna Jean Imhoff was born on April 27, 1939 in Ashton, IA, the daughter of Jack and Helen (Honkomp) Tremmel. She was raised in Ashton and attended St. Joseph's Catholic School in Ashton. On September 12, 1959, Donna was united in marriage to Bill Imhoff at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ashton. They made their home in Ashton and to this union their children David and Julie were born. Donna worked as a bookkeeper for twenty-five years at the Farmers Coop Elevator in Ashton, Upper Des Moines Opportunities for fifteen years in Sibley, IA and as a waitress at the Cedar Cabin in Ashton. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ashton. She enjoyed playing pinnacle and making her occasional casino trips, but she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Bill Imhoff of Ashton, IA; daughter, Julie (Steve) Still of Council Bluffs, IA; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Norma Niichel of Sheldon, IA and Delma (Jim) Ball of Jefferson, IA; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Helen Tremmel; and son, David John Imhoff.
