George, IA        Charles Sprock age 82 of George, IA died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Center in George, IA.           Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday March 23rd at the Jurrens Funeral Home of George, IA with Rev. Dale Lint officiating.        Private family inurnment will follow at Evergreen Lawn Cemetery in George, IA.        Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22nd from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, with the family present from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Jurrens Funeral Home in George.      Charles George Sprock was born November 25, 1933 in Wheeler Township, Lyon County, IA to John and Marie (Drewes) Sprock. Charles was raised in George and attended George Grammar school. Charles served in the United States Army as a Military Policeman, Stationed in Korea from 1955 to 1957.      On June 25, 1965 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Bos. They made their home at 105 West Indiana Avenue in George where they still reside. Charlie worked at ASC and then spent 44 years at Siebring Manufacturing cutting steel, never leaving much scrap behind. When Charlie wasn’t working, you could find him playing cards, bowling, fishing or cheering on his favorite teams the Boston Red Sox, Iowa Hawkeyes, and lately Tiger Woods. After he retired Charlie spent time fishing, teaching his grandchildren how to fish, or riding around town in his S-10 “at a very slow rate of speed” to get his Casey’s coffee.        On March 19, 2016 Charlie passed away at the Good Samaritan Society home in George, IA at the age of 82. He will be greatly missed.      Charles is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth (Bos) Sprock of George, IA; sons Doyle (Tasha) Bos of Sibley, IA, Colin Sprock, Bob Sprock, and Bill (Sara) Sprock all of George, IA; grandchildren Jacob Bos and special friend Jurnea Harberts and Abbey Bos of Sibley, IA, Mitchell Sprock of Kennewick, WA, Stacey Lynch of Lubbock, TX, Shelby Sprock and special friend David Gibson, Bailey Sprock and special friend Brandon Hoogendoorn, Seth Sprock, Kailey Sprock, Brandon Sprock and Spencer Sprock all of George, IA; and great grandchildren Aiden and Trenton Gibson of George, IA; sisters Betty (Duane) Harms of Columbus, NE, JoAnn Fry and special friend Cliff Louy of St. Peter, MO, and Marian (Paul) Foxhoven of Omaha, NE; sisters-in-law Diane Sprock of Georgetown, TX, Mary Rohweller of Okeechobee, FL, Betty (Ronny) Schol of Sibley, IA, and Fanola Bos of Rock Rapids, IA; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.      Charles was preceded in death by his parents; brother Gene Sprock; parents-in-law Eiso & Effie Bos; brothers-in-law Gordon Rohweller, Albert, Everett and Robert Bos; grandson Isaac Bos; and grandparents Charles and Anna Sprock.
