Frieda Gerber

Lester, IA      Frieda C. Gerber, 101, of Eureka, IL formerly of Lester, Iowa passed away at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.          Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Eureka Apostolic Christian Church. Church ministers will officiate.        Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka and from 9-9:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services on Wednesday.        Additional visitation will be held from 9-10:45 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Apostolic Christian Fellowship Hall in Lester, Iowa.        Funeral services in Iowa will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall in Lester, Iowa. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Lester, Iowa. Services provided by Jurrens Funeral Home.        Memorial contributions may be made to the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at argoruestmanharris.com.         She was born on March 15, 1915 in Alvord, Iowa a daughter of Ernst and Caroline Feucht Knobloch. She married Edward Gerber on August 27, 1935 in Sioux Falls, S.D. He passed away on August 26, 1979.        She was a member of the Eureka Apostolic Christian Church. Frieda enjoyed visiting with her family and friends while a resident at the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home. She faithfully attended and enjoyed the resident activities.        Surviving are one daughter, Clara Marie Gerber of Eureka; one sister, Elsie Leuthold of Lester, Iowa; one brother, Ezra (Marie) Knobloch of Rock Rapids, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Anne Gerber of St. Paul, MN; son-in-law, Bill (Gloria) Wuthrich of Kirksville, MO; six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Paul Gerber; one daughter, Ernestine Wuthrich.
