Tina Moser

Rock Rapids, IA   Tina Moser, age 83 of Rock Rapids, IA died Sunday, April 24, 2016 at her home in Rock Rapids, IA.           Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 28th at the Apostolic Christian Church in Lester, IA.        Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in Lester, IA.        Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27th with family present from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall in Lester.        Martina (Tina Leloux) Moser was born July 14, 1932 at Alvord, Iowa, the daughter of Cornelius “Case” and Wilhemina “Minnie” (Mailand) Leloux.  She lived on a farm near Alvord moving into town with her parents and attending school in and around Alvord.  In her late teens, she lived and did housework jobs in California.  She returned to Alvord and on August 23, 1952 she married Louis Moser at the “Little Brown Church” in Nashua, IA.  Lou and Tina attended the Apostolic Christian Church in Lester their entire married life.  They lived on the Moser family farm until 1980, retiring when son, Mike, took over the farming operation.  Tina worked at Merrill Pioneer Hospital as a nurse’s aide for 15 years and 2 years at Minnesota Veteran’s Home, until her husband suffered a severe stroke.  She lovingly cared for Lou 2 ½ years in their home, until his death in October of 1998.  Tina had hobbies such as quilting, crossword puzzles and pinochle.  A high-light of her life was the grandchildren staying with her during fair week.  Tina enjoyed being a Demo Gal at the local grocery store and enjoyed visiting with people there.        Tina passed away on April 24, 2016 at age of 83.  She is survived by daughters, Judy (Leo) Weber of Tea, SD; Audrey (Mark) Metzger; Polly (Rodney) Metzger; daughter-in-law, Kathy Moser (Bruce Hasche), all of Lester, IA; eighteen grandchildren, Tina, Tony, Todd, Scott, Gregg, Abby, Maggie, Matthew, Emma, Vance, Eric, Neil, Toby, Jesse, Keith, Daniel, Tonya and Paul; and twenty-four great-grandchildren; sister, Rika VanDen Top of Sioux Falls, SD; brothers, Francis (Bertha) Leloux of Rock Valley, IA, James (Shirley) Leloux of Payson, UT and Richard (Mary Lee) Leloux of Alvord, IA; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.        She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lou Moser; two sons, Jude and Mike Moser; two brothers, Francis and Henry Leloux.
