Heather Bonander

  Larchwood, IA        Heather Bonander, age 37 of Larchwood, IA died Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.        Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 26th at Beaver Valley Lutheran Church near Valley Springs, SD. Burial will follow at South Cemetery near church.        Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jurrens Funeral Home of Larchwood.        Heather Jo Bonander was born July 6, 1978 at the Luverne Hospital in Luverne, Minnesota, the daughter of Bruce and Lynne (Sievers) Bonander. She was raised on a family farm west of Larchwood, IA and graduated from West Lyon High School in 1997. She continued her education at University of Sioux Falls and earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She also attended Sioux Falls Seminary to receive her Counseling Certification, but due to health reasons was unable to finish. Heather enjoyed reading and writing poetry. Her pride and joy was spending time with her kids (her niece and nephews). She was a member of Beaver Valley Lutheran Church in Valley Springs, SD.        She is survived by her parents, Bruce and Lynne Bonander of Larchwood, IA; maternal grandmother, Lola Sievers of Sioux Falls, SD; two sisters, Angie (Josh) Holz of Larchwood, IA and Melissa (Mark) Cormack of Irving, TX; niece and nephews, Cody, Austin, Ashley and Blake Holz and Aiden Cormack; three aunts, Donna (Mike) Zaug of Watertown, SD, Janell (Arlen) Kuhnert of Valley Springs, SD and Sandy (Bob) Schuette of Crooks, SD; and many cousins and extended family.        She was preceded in death paternal grandparents, Axel and Donna Bonander; and maternal grandfather, Loren Sievers.
