George, IA Veralynn Eberline, age 88 of George, IA died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society Care Center in George, IA. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 5th at Lyon County First Presbyterian Church at George, IA. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery at George, IA. Visitation will be Monday, July 4th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jurrens Funeral Home of George. Veralynn (Vera) Eberline was born in Kenneth, Minnesota to Rae and Lillian-Meyer Allard, on February 21, 1928. Her family lived in Ocheyedan, Iowa for a short time and then moved to Sibley. Her father was killed in a tragic car accident when she was 6 years old. Her single mother raised her and her two sisters in Sibley. She was married to Kenneth Eberline on November 22, 1946. They would have been married for 70 years this November. They lived on a farm a few miles from George, where they had four children: Bruce, Janice, Paula, and Lonn. Vera was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of the Lyon County First Presbyterian Church. Vera died peacefully at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home on Wednesday, June 29th at the age of eighty-eight. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Eberline; and three of her children; Bruce (Deb) Eberline in Chicago, Illinois; Jan Eberline Dunlap in Denver, Colorado; Paula (David) Eberline Tebbe in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Noel Eberline, Benjamin (Liz) Eberline, Timothy (Beth) Eberline and Alexandra Eberline. Dru (Kellie) Dunlap and Max Dunlap, Trevor (Rhonda) Cole, Tabitha (Andre) Stephenson, Ken (Keri) Eberline, Whitney Piper, Elliott Piper, Adam (Paige) Piper and Avery Piper. She is also survived by 19 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great grandchild, and her sister, Rachael Graber. She was preceded in death by her father, Rae Allard; her mother, Lillian-Meyer Allard; a son, Lonn Eberline; a sister Twyla Moody; a daughter-in-law, Linda Eberline; and a son-in-law Terry Cole.
