Sibley, IA Leslie Duin, age 69 of Sibley, IA died on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Country View Manor in Sibley, IA. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 18th at the First Presbyterian Church in Sibley, with Reverend Terry Simm and Reverend Dale Lint officiating. Burial will follow at the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley, IA. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday, August 18th. Leslie Lee Duin was born on March 19, 1947 in Hastings, MN, the daughter of Donald and Sheila (Kyle) Soderquist. She grew up in Sibley, IA and attended and graduated from Sibley High School in 1965. She attended Minneapolis School of Business and Methodist School for Nursing for a time. She later got married and was blessed with four boys: Klint, Bill, Frank and Klayton. Leslie was a homemaker most of her life but as a young person she worked for the Drive-in in Sibley, then as an adult for the Council of Churches in Minneapolis, MN and worked in Sioux Falls, SD for a time. Leslie attended Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in George, IA and helped where she could. She enjoyed needlepoint, sewing, cross stitch, baking, doing crossword puzzles but most of all loved to spoil her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Leslie is survived by her four sons: Klint (Becky) Duin of Doon, IA, Bill (Anastassiya) Duin of Sioux Falls, SD, Frank (Nikkie) Duin of Sioux Falls, SD and Klayton (Angela) Duin of Nampa, ID; thirteen grandchildren; her mother, Sheila Soderquist of Sibley, IA; three siblings: Lynn (Harold) Schram of Sibley, IA, Gayle (Larry) Jacobsma of Sibley, IA and Paul (Gail) Soderquist of Mesa, AZ; and many other extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Soderquist.
