Patricia Betty Crist

Harris, Iowa           Patricia Crist, age 69 of Harris, IA died on Sunday January 22, 2017 at Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley, IA.        Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2017 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park, IA, with Reverend Gerald Gauthier officiating.        Private family burial will take place at a later date at the Union Cemetery in Harris, IA.        Visitation will be Friday, January 27th from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park, IA.        Patricia Betty Crist was born on November 28, 1947 in Sibley, IA, the daughter of Robert Sr. and Johanna (Hayes) Crist. She grew up in Harris, IA. Patricia attended elementary school in Harris for a few years and in Sibley for a couple of years. After her dad passed away she lived with her mother until her mother was moved to a nursing home. Because of Patricia’s special needs she was also moved to that same nursing home with her mom. Even though Patricia was diagnosed with special needs you would have never know it by the way she took care of her mother at home and in the nursing home. Patricia was a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings and Harris Lake Park Wolves. She liked to listen to Beetles music and to visit with people. She especially loved when her nieces and nephews would come to visit. She will be greatly missed.        Left to cherish Patricia’s memory is her: mother, Johanna Crist of Sibley, IA; two siblings, Robert (Jane) Crist and Susie (Daniel) Betz all of Harris, IA; nieces and nephews: Stephanie (Jeff) Sohn of Lake Park, IA, Brent (Carrie) Crist of Bonurant, IA, Angela (Brian) Lenderts of Johnston, IA and Mike (Tess) Betz of George, IA; great nieces and nephews: Bret, Brody, JoHannah, Kipton, Haley, Anna, Claire, Jude and Sara; lifelong friend, Connie Hauenstein of Harris, IA; and other extended family.        She was preceded in death by her dad, Robert Crist Sr. and maternal and paternal grandparents.
