George, IA Agnes Feldman age 97 of Sibley, IA died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Country View Manor in Sibley, IA. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 15, 2017 at the Jurrens Funeral Home of George, IA with Rev. Barb Kopperud, officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery at George. Visitation with the family present, will be Saturday, April 15th from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Jurrens Funeral Home of George. Agnes (Bottin) Feldman was born July 27, 1919, at Ocheyedan, IA the daughter of August and Marie (Ziesman) Bottin. Agnes grew up near Ocheyedan, IA where she attended Horton township county school. Agnes was united in marriage to Marvin Feldman on December 15, 1945 at Sibley, IA. They made their home for the first 10 years of their marriage on a farm near Worthington, MN. In 1956, they moved to the Feldman farm near Ashton until 1996 when they moved into their home in Sibley. On June 10, 2011, Agnes became a resident of the Country View Manor in Sibley. Agnes was a homemaker along with a helping and vital hand on the family farm She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Worthington, George and Sibley area. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She always made birthdays, graduations, confirmations and holidays a special time. In her spare time she loved to tend to her flowers, go on a relaxing camping trip or just traveling the countryside. Agnes enjoyed music on TV, watching the Guy Lombardo or the Lawrence Welk shows. Her faith was important to her and enjoyed watching Billy Graham and Robert Schuller. She shared an anniversary and birthday of a granddaughter, Laura Joy Goldhorn. Marvin and Agnes celebrated their 50th anniversary celebration at the farm near Ashton. She loved dancing, because her brother’s took her to dances and later years accompanied her husband. Her fondest memory was she and Marvin dancing at the Worthington Armory in a blue dress. She was survived by her daughters, Carol (Scott) Hulst of George, IA; Karen Stewart (Grant) of Rock Rapids, IA and Colleen (Randy) Goldhorn of Ashton, IA; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, three sisters-in-law, Lorraine Henning of Moville, IA; Myrna Heronemus of Ashton, IA and Iva Jean Ott of Davenport, IA and close nieces and nephew of Worthington, MN. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, August Sr. and Marie; husband, Marvin; 4 sisters, Martha Kruger, Ella Voss, Frieda Drake and Ella Bottin; 4 brothers, Henry, Ted, Herman and August, Jr. Bottin along with 7 brothers-in-law and 7 sisters-in-law.
