Dwaine Oliver Kruse

October 30, 1923 — January 28, 2018

          Dwaine O. Kruse age 94 of Adrian, MN died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Park View Manor in Ellsworth, MN.        Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 3rd at the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock, IA, with Pastor Dustin Sperlich officiating.           Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Little Rock, IA.        Visitation will be Friday, February 2nd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with family present during that time at the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock.        The Jurrens Funeral Home of Little Rock is in charge of arrangements.        Dwaine Oliver Kruse was born on October 30, 1923 on a farm near Sibley, IA, the son of Harvey and Cora (Ostrem) Kruse.  He attended county school in District #12 Little Rock Township near their home, where he would walk or go by horse and buggy to school.  On February 21, 1958, he was united in marriage to Wilma Hoekstra at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church rural Rushmore, MN.  The couple made their home on a farm near Adrian, MN, where they still live now.  He not only farmed his land, but he did custom grain grinding, threshing, baling hay, trucking, bobcat and backhoe work.  He also sold seed for Sar-Fontanelle.  Dwaine was a member of the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock. He served as a Little Rock Township Supervisor for many years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to tractor pulls, attending farm sales (most of the time just to visit with people there), travelling, and playing BINGO.  He was a man that could talk to anyone and loved to meet new people. He especially loved spending time with his family and he had many friends.  He will be greatly missed.        Dwaine is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Wilma Kruse of Adrian, MN; three children:  Lyle Kruse of Rushmore, MN, Raevette (Bill) Loonan of Lismore, MN and Sharma (Keith) Brockmeyer of Spirit Lake, IA; five granddaughters: Christina, Brittney and Briana Loonan, Mikayla and Katelyn Brockmeyer; sister, Marlene Christians of Rock Rapids, IA; brother, Eldon Kruse of Rushmore, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.        He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Dolores Kopplow, Avis Fletcher and Delmar Kruse.
