Alvina Delaine Breuer

 Alvina Breuer age 96 of Sibley, Iowa died Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley. 

 Visitation will be Monday, March 3rd from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with the family present at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley, IA. There will be a rosary at 4:30 PM. 

 Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Sibley, IA, with Father Siby Punnoose as celebrant. 

 Burial will follow in the St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Sibley. 

 Alvina Delaine Wentler was born Dec 6, 1928, in Appleton, MN, the daughter of Emra & Verna (Horton) Wender. Alvina married Roland Breuer June 27, 1947, in Sioux City, IA. To this union four sons were born, Michael, David, Douglas, and Roger.

 Alvina was employed over the years in such places as The Cafe, Preebs, Campbell Soup, & Sather Cookie Company. But she mostly enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom & housewife taking care of her family. She enjoyed gardening, fishing & especially going to Bingo with her sister Alvera. Alvina was a member of the St Andrew’s Catholic Church of Sibley for over 70 years. 

 Alvina is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Michael & Lorena (Renie) of Columbus NE, David & Charlotte (Char) of Norfolk, NE, Douglas & Dee of Sibley IA, & Rodger & Bonnie of Sioux City IA. She also survived by 13 Grandchildren, Carey Breuer Columbus NE, Christopher (Angie) Breuer Raymore MO, Chad Breuer, Neligh, NE, Travis (Stacy Shepherd) Breuer of Sioux Falls SD, Sarah (Kyle) Anderson of Norfolk, NE, Adam (Wendy) Breuer, Cory (Sylvia) Breuer of Raymore, MO, Todd (Kristen) Breuer of Waverly, IA, Joey (Tammy) Breuer, Sioux Falls SD, Joleen (Seth) Thiele, Sioux City, Dustin Breuer Sioux City IA, Cord (Marie)Breuer Nampa ID, Paige (Nick) Holmes Sioux City IA; 16 Great Grandchildren & 4 Step Great Grandchildren; and other extended family. 

 She was preceded in death by her husband in Roland Breuer in 2000, her parents, Emra and Verna Wentler; three brothers, Raymond, Lawrence, & D Wentler; six sisters, Gladys Brumley, Lorraine Grubaugh, Doris Allard, Alyce Stevenson, her twins Alvera Balster & Geraldine McCarthy; one Great Grandson & one Step Great Granddaughter.
