Arnold James Kruse

     Arnold Kruse age 86 of Sibley, IA died Sunday, June 30, 2019 at his residence in Sibley, IA.

     Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 6, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church in Sibley with Pastor Terry Simm, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Holman Township Cemetery at Sibley, IA.

     Visitation will be Friday, July 5th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley.

     Arnold James Kruse, the son of Dick and Marie (Mayland) Kruse was born March 30, 1933, on a farm near Adrian, Minnesota. He was raised on a farm north of Little Rock, Iowa and moved to rural Bigelow, Minnesota in 1940. Arnie attended school in Worthington and graduated in 1950.

     After graduation, Arnie joined the United States Army and was stationed in Ft. Carson, Colorado. Arnie was a farmer, carpenter and also worked at lumber yards in Sibley and Bigelow.

     Arnie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sibley where he served as a Trustee and Deacon, and a member of the Bigelow American Legion Post #0496 for 49 years.

     Over the years he enjoyed farming, woodworking, fishing, and having coffee with his friends.

     Those left to cherish is memory are his two brothers, Art (Mary) Kruse of Sibley, IA, Alvin Kruse of Milford, IA; nieces and nephews, Maureen (Dan) Breuker of Lake Park, IA, Delinda (Grant) Leu of Spencer, IA, Carmen (Jim) Howard of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Brian (Susan) Kruse of Midland, MI, Glenn (Cathi) Kruse of Johns Creek, GA, and Jeanne (Steve) Roudabush of Eden Prairie, MN.

     Arnold was preceded in death by his parents Dick and Marie; infant brother, Albert Kruse; and nephew Don Kruse.
