     Arthur Andringa, age 79, of Sheldon, Iowa, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at his home in Sheldon, Iowa.

     Graveside services were held at 9:00 AM, Friday, June 30, 2023, at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, Iowa, with Pastor Jesse Walhof officiating.

     Arthur Andringa was born on December 16, 1943, the son of Jacob “Jack” and Elizabeth (Reitsma) Andringa. He attended Sheldon Community Schools in Sheldon, Iowa.  After graduating high school, he attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he played football.  He then went on to mortuary school, receiving his degree from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, Illinois.  He was united in marriage to Bernita Kay Kroese on October 13, 1966, and they made their home in Sheldon, Iowa.

     He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Andringa of Iowa City, Iowa; two brothers, Terry Andringa and his wife Emily of Sheldon, Iowa; Larry Andringa and his wife Lavonne of Spirit Lake, Iowa; sister, Mary Andringa of Henderson, Tennessee and other extended family.

    Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Elizabeth Andringa; brother, Fred Andringa and sister, Judy Andringa Hulstien.
