Betty Jane Deberg

Rock Rapids, Iowa Betty DeBerg age 86, of Rock Rapids, Iowa died Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Avera Merrill Pioneer Hospital in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Betty Jane DeBerg was born July 20, 1934 in Correctionville, Iowa. The child of Abraham Francis and Annabel (Cowart) Green. Betty graduated from Correctionville, Iowa High School in 1952 and Washington School of Cosmetology in 1953. Betty was united in marriage to Donald Vernon DeBerg on December 5, 1953 in Cherokee Iowa. They made their home in Little Rock, Iowa. In the past Betty worked at K Products in Rock Rapids, Sathers in Round Lake, Minnesota, and lastly at Good Samaritan in George. Betty was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Rock Rapids. Betty enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading books and playing bingo. Her family will remember her as a loving wife and mother. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Mary (Michael) Bossler of Kansas City, MO, Lisa Blackburn of Maplewood, MN, Marlan (Lynn) DeBerg of Luverne, MN, Darvin (Betty) DeBerg of Huron Lake, MN, Lynn (Nathan) Ahlman of Greenwood, NE, and Ron (Linda) Egger of Santa Fe, TX; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; along with many extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Annabel, sisters Velma and Lola and brother Raymond; husband of 51 years, Donald; son, Dennis DeBerg; grandson, Jared DeBerg; and son-in-law, Craig Brody.
