Brian Howard age 61 of Ocheyedan, Iowa died Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service sometime this spring.
Brian Chris Howard was born on February 25, 1961in Sibley, IA, the son of Ervin and Anna Mae (Jacobs) Howard. He grew up in Ocheyedan, IA and later graduated from Ocheyedan High School in 1978.
On May 14, 1999, Brian was united in marriage to Brenda Perry, and they made their home in Ocheyedan.
He worked for Sunrise Farms for many years, until his kidney transplant on May 30, 2018, that gave him three more years of life that he lived to the fullest. Brian’s step kids, and grandkids were very special to him. He was blessed to have them live so closes, so he could spend time with them, especially after his kidney surgery they were a great help.
Brian was also known for having a big garden. He had a little competition going with his friend Jerry and they would compare who had the bigger vegetables.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Natasha (Jonah) Micha of Klamath Falls, OR; three step children, Travis (Kathy) Perry, Tracy (Brian Swarthout) Perry, and Trevor (Lacie) Perry all of Ocheyedan, IA; four grandchildren, Britain, Nevaeh, Scotland and Makennah; eleven step grandchildren, Taleah, Trey, Alixis, Taylor, Dominick, Haleigh, Coleton, Noah, Eli, Addlynn and Jaelynn; step great granddaughter, Elena; his mother, Anna Mae Howard of Ocheyedan, IA; three siblings, Deloris (Mike) Redinius of Sheldon, IA, Randy (June) Howard of Ocheyedan, IA, and Tom (Paula) Howard of Ocheyedan, IA; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda on October 6, 2020; dad, Ervin Howard; brother, Terry Howard; stepson, Benjamin Perry; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
