      Carol Labadie age 76, of George, IA died Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon, IA.

     A memorial service will take place at a later date.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

     Carol Jean Labadie was born March 9, 1944 in Sibley, Iowa the daughter of Edward and Evelyn (Viereck) Heyer.  She grew up on the family farm near George and graduated from George High School.  Carol attended Beautician school in Sioux City, Iowa after high school.  In the past she worked at the Broadwater Beach Hotel in Mississippi, the Fairmont Hotel in New Orleans, worked part time at Casey’s in George, Iowa, and lastly at Sudenga’s in George Iowa, retiring in October of 2019.  She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in George. She enjoyed crocheting, eating seafood and crab legs, and getting together with friends for Crawfish parties in Rock Rapids.  She was always up for a cup of iced coffee.

     Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Wayne (Connie) Heyer of Stigler, OK, Roger (Debi) Heyer of Nisswa, MN, Monty (Julie) Heyer of Cabot, AR; nieces, Melinda (Darin) Packebush of Ankeny, IA, Donna Heyer of Cedar Rapids, IA; nephew, Dan (Gina) Heyer of Cabot, AR; great nephews, Coleton Heyer of Ankeny, IA, Bradon Heyer of Ankeny, IA, Dean Heyer of Cabot, AR; special long time friend, Gerri Spangler of George, IA; along with friends and extended relatives.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Dale Heyer.
