Charles Bauler

     Charles Bauler age 73 of George, Iowa died Friday, January 17, 2020 at his home in George.

     Visitation will be Wednesday January 22, 2020 with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of George.

     Interment will take place Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids, Iowa.  Family and friends are invited to meet at Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids at 10:00 a.m. to process out to the cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to be directed to Jurrens Funeral Home.

     Charles Francis Bauler was born September, 8, 1946, the son of Francis and Margaret (Murray) Bauler in Remsen, Iowa.  Charles grew up in Merrill and attended Merrill public school.  On May 11 ,1973 he was united in marriage to Sandy Pike at Blessed Sacrament Church in Sioux City, Iowa.  To this union, two children were born, Christy and Charles. 

     In the past Charles worked at the Filling Station in Merrill, IBP in Sioux City, and Foreman Tire Company in Sioux City.  Charles loved to play cards, enjoyed fishing, and really enjoyed having his grandchildren and great grandchildren around.  His family will remember him as being a great husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa.  He will be forever loved and missed.

     Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Sandy; two children, Christy DeSmet of Rock Rapids, IA, and Charles Bauler of Rock Rapids, IA; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Natasha, Samantha, Brandon, and Tyler; 2 great grandchildren, Josh and Noah; and many nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Margaret Bauler, and a grandchild, DeAngela.
