     Clara Kruger age 97, of George, IA died Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the Rock Rapids Health Center in Rock Rapids, IA.

     A Private Funeral Services for family will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Jurrens Funeral Home of George, IA with Reverend John Pea, officiating.

     Public visitation will be Wednesday, July 1^st from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., some family maybe present. Social distancing guidelines will be followed.

     Clara Kruger was born on May 18, 1923 on a farm near George, IA, the daughter of John G. and Bena (Lursen) Hinrichs. She attended Liberal No. 3 country school through the eighth grade. As a young girl she helped take care of her younger sisters.

     On June 6, 1946, she was united in marriage to Sylvester “Jack” Kruger in Luverne, MN. The couple lived on a farm east of George until Jack died in 1975. After that she moved into George.

     While living on the farm Clara enjoyed raising chickens and gardening, planting potatoes. After she moved into town she liked to walk around town and collect cans. Clara also enjoyed watching westerns and especially John Wayne movies.

     Clara is survived by her two sons, LeRoy (Delinda) Kruger of George, IA, and Lonnie (Bonnie) Kruger of Little Rock, IA; seven grandchildren, Jodi (Drew) Mannes, Jerry Kruger, Jeffrey (Nicole) Kruger, Joe Kruger, Robin Kruger, LeAnn (Ben Pribyl) Kruger, and Jennifer (Clayton) Noll; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Mary (Gene) Turner of Ramona, CA; along with many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George and Hank Hinrichs; and three sisters, Alice Johnson, Sena Hassebroek, and Dora Meyer.
