Cody James Allen Buss

     Cody James Allen Buss, age 24 of Sioux Falls, SD died on Monday, September 23, 2019 at his residence in Sioux Falls, SD.

     Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday September 27th at Faith Baptist Church in Rock Rapids, IA with Pastor Jeff Poppinga Officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids, IA.

     Visitation will be Friday, September 27^th from 12:00 noon until the time of service at Faith Baptist Church in Rock Rapids, IA.

     Cody James Allen Buss was born August 16, 1995 in Luverne, Minnesota, the son of Don Allan Buss and Kimberly (Birkeland) Hester.  He was raised in Rock Rapids, IA, Alton, IA, Hospers, IA, before moving to Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 8 yrs. 

     He worked various place in Sioux Falls, SD, such as Winter Brothers, Yellow Jacket Landscaping, Tiger Mowers in machine assembly.  He most recently worked for West Rock Manufacturing. He also worked part time in Security for the Library Bar Restaurant in Sioux Falls.

     He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid sports fan.  He loved his two pets and especially spending time with family and friends.  He will be remembered as a young man who was full of life and was able to make everyone smile. 

     He is survived by his father, Don Allan Buss of Luverne, MN; his mother, Kimberly (husband Ryan) Hester of Brandon, SD; a brother, Derek Buss of Sioux Falls, SD; his niece, Angel Buss; and many aunts, uncles and other extended family and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Roxann Birkeland; uncle, Neil Birkeland; cousin, Scott Walters; great grandparents, Orvin Birkeland, Lois Selken, Roy & Alice Buss, Gertrude Freese; and Vivian Knobloch; and great-uncle, Randy Selken.
