Dale K. Aeikens age 75 of Sibley, Iowa died Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Sanford Health in Sheldon, IA.
Memorial service will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 5th at First Reformed Church in Sibley, IA, with Rev. Luke Schouten officiating. Inurnment at a later date at Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 5th from 2:00 PM until the hour of service at First Reformed Church in Sibley.
Dale Kenneth Aeikens was born November 18, 1944 in Sibley, Iowa, the son of Alfred and Annie (Nagel) Aeikens. He grew up in the Little Rock area and attended Little Rock Community School.
He was united in marriage to Roberta Carroll on August 6, 1967 at First Reformed Church in Sibley, IA. They made their home in Sibley and two daughters, Lora and Staci were blessed to this marriage. He drove cement truck for the Sibley Cement Plant and also worked for Heinz.
He was a member of First Reformed Church in Sibley. He enjoyed trains and watching stock car races.
He is survived by his wife, of 52 years, Roberta Aeikens of Sibley, IA; two daughters, Lora Bendt of Sibley, IA and Staci Aeikens of Kansas City, MO; one grandchild, Tanner Bendt; three brothers, Alfred (wife Sherry) Aeikens of Ellsworth, MN, Glenn (wife Pat) Aeikens of Spirit Lake, IA and Kendall (wife Linda) Aeikens of Ankeny, IA; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Annie Aeikens; brother, David Aeikens; and niece, Shannon Aeikens.
