Darrell Christians Prayer Service

     Darrell Christians age 80 of Miami, FL, formerly of Little Rock, IA died Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Jackson South Medical Center in Miami, FL.

     Prayer service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock, IA, with Reverend Barry Wyveen officiating.  Burial will follow at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Little Rock.

     Visitation will be Saturday, February 13^th from 11:00 a.m. until time of prayer service at 11:30 a.m. at the Salem Reformed Church.

     Darrell Neil Christians was born on February 18, 1940 in Sibley, IA, the son of Fred W. and Hattie (Frye) Christians.  He grew up in the Sibley and Little Rock, IA area.  He later enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for four years.

     In 1960, he was united in marriage to Janice Venenga.  To this union seven children were born, Darnell, Janell, Dean, Craig, Jeff, Rick, and Kathy. 

     Darrell lived in several different states and in 1992 moved to Florida where this past Saturday, February 6^th he passed away at the Jackson South Medical Center in Miami, FL. 

     He was self-employed as a real estate investor.  He enjoyed tractor pulling while he lived in Iowa and when he moved to Florida enjoyed deep sea fishing.

     Darrell is survived by his seven children:  Darnell (Amy) Christians of Spirit Lake, IA, Janell (Todd) Recker of Adrian, MN, Dean (Barb) Christians of Sioux Falls, SD, Craig (Karen) Christians of Blue Earth, MN, Jeff (Christina) Christians of Harrisburg, SD, Rick (Jessica) Christians of Sioux Falls, SD, and Kathy (Corey) Kruse of Lake Wilson, MN; 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and other extended family.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hattie Christians; and one sister, Lorraine King.
