Delroy "Spider" Heidebrink

     Delroy “Spider” Heidebrink age 77 of Sibley, Iowa died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his home in Sibley.

     A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley, Iowa.  Inurnment will follow in the Holman Township Cemetery at Sibley.

     Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 20^th with the family present at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley.

     Delroy Martin Heidebrink was born December 13, 1943 the son of Martin and Tillie (Berends) Heidebrink in Sibley, Iowa. He grew up in Sibley and attended Sibley Schools. He was united in marriage to Pam Beadle on June 4, 1969 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Together they lived in Oskaloosa for a year before moving to Sibley. They were blessed with two children, Tanya and Nick.

     In the past Spider worked at Hallet Materials, AMPI, Sibley Concrete and other various construction companies. More recently, he was a parts runner for his son in law, Mark. He enjoyed bowling in numerous leagues and visiting with people at local coffee shops. In the springtime, he was an avid asparagus hunter with his own secret spots even though he would not eat it and gave it away to those who would. Most of all he enjoyed his time with family and friends. His family will remember him as proud strong-willed man who was there to help anyone when needed. While not a cat lover, he loved all dogs. He was especially fond and proud of his two grandchildren Tanner and Makya. His face lit each up each time he saw them.

   Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Pam; children, Tanya (Mark) Dykstra of Sibley, IA; Nick Heidebrink of Sibley, IA; grandchildren, Tanner and Makya Dykstra; sister, Liz Reekers of Onalaska, WI; brother-in-law Larry (Melba) Beadle of Oskaloosa, IA; along with extended relatives and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alminnie Lowe, Anna Mae Timmerman, M June Salzman, Caroline Koster; brother, John Bud Heidebrink; and brothers-in-law, John and Bob Beadle.
