Donald Edward Kruger age 81 of rural Sibley, Iowa passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Don was born July 2^nd, 1941 to Harold and Harriet (Doeden) in Sibley, Iowa.

Don grew up in the Baptist Church of Sibley, Iowa.  He graduated from Sibley High School in 1959. After high school, he attended Pillsbury Bible College in Owatonna, Minnesota where he met Marilyn Hartung  from Mount Vernon, Iowa. They were married March 25^th, 1961 in Lisbon, Iowa.

Don and Marilyn farmed north of Sibley and raised hogs and cattle his entire life. He served on the Rural Water and Elevator boards. Don enjoyed playing fast pitch softball and basketball. Don also enjoyed playing cards and fishing with family and friends.  Don was a believer of conservation and improving the land. Don planted many trees to create habitat for hunting for his family. Don’s loyal fox terrier Kaci was always by his side.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Edward and Minnie (Albers) Kruger, Harm and Tillie (Kruger) Doeden,  beloved aunts, Anna, Tillie, Grace and Gertie and uncles,  George, Ollie, and Art Doeden.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn and children, Todd (Lorna) Kruger, Kim (Kevin) Wills, and Jeff (Susan) Kruger.

His grandchildren Kayla (Matt) Bruggeman, Kody Wills, Katie (Tomas) Hansmann, Tracey (Klint) Sauke, Jay (Hanna) Kruger, Ted (Emma) Kruger, and Kendra (Cody) Petersen, Wylie and Shaelyn Kruger.

His great grandchildren inclue Taylor, Avery, Allanah and Blair Bruggeman, Kenzie, Jada and Brody Wills, Kaid and Karter Hansmann. Axel and Otto Petersen, Leightyn and Graham Kruger, and Ross Kruger.

There will be no visitation or service. Cards may be sent to Marilyn at 5436 130^th Street at Sibley, Iowa.
