      Dennis Meyer age 67 of Westbrook, MN formerly of Rock Rapids, IA died Friday, April 13, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Sheldon, IA.

     Memorial service will be 10:30 AM, Friday, April 20^th at Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids, with Rev. Mark Hansen officiating. Inurnment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids.

     Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids.

     Dennis Frederick Meyer was born June 16, 1950 in Sibley, Iowa, the son of Ervin H.W. and Elsie (Asche) Meyer. He was raised in the George and Rock Rapids area. He graduated from Central Lyon High School in 1969. After his education he worked for Hogan Construction in Rock Rapids, then worked for Lyon County Rural Water for five years plus. He then drove semi for Sather Trucking in Round Lake, MN, while living in Worthington, MN. He moved to Westbrook and drove gravel truck for ten plus years. As a result of health issues had to stop working.

     He enjoyed car races, fishing, camping, antique shows, tractor and semi pulls and was a member of Jaycees in Rock Rapids. He also enjoyed riding snow mobiles and visiting with people. He will be remembered as a happy guy, who would do anything he could for anyone.

     He is survived by his brother, Donald Meyer of Worthington, MN; aunt, Marlys Jones of Rock Rapids, IA; close friend, Glee Meyer of Sheldon, IA; and other extended family.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Erivn and Elsie Meyer.
