     Donna Inderwisch age 85 of Rock Rapids, IA died Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

     A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9^th at the United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids, IA, with Pastor Travis Remme officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery.

     Public visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service on Saturday, April 9^th at United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids.

     In lieu of flowers, Donna requests that memorial be given to the Central Lyon Elementary Art Program, Rock Rapids VFW Auxiliary, or the Methodist Church.

     Donna Bea Inderwisch was born August 27, 1936, at Rock Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Hilko and Zuneita (Banning) Inderwisch.  She grew up in Rock Rapids and graduated from Rock Rapids High School in 1954.  Donna continued her education at Morningside College, receiving a two-year degree.  She began her teaching career in 1956 at Sioux Center Elementary School, after teaching two years, she then taught at Sioux City Elementary school for three years.  During that time, she furthered her education earning B.S. degrees in World History, Social Studies, Geography and Elementary Art.  In 1961, Donna started teaching Elementary Art in Rock Rapids.  Donna started the kindergarten through 6^th grade, eventually adding 7^th grade art at Central Lyon.  Donna retired after teaching 43 years.  After retiring she became a substitute teacher for an additional 10 years.  Donna was also a life member of the VFW Auxiliary serving at local, district, and state levels.  Donna passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

     Donna is survived by James and Jessica Hollenbeck and their daughter, Aubrey; Dawn Teale (James A Hollenbeck’s wife); Kelsey Thorne and Tavis Gladwell, all of Rogers, AR.

     Preceding Donna in death were her parents and James A Hollenbeck.
