     Donna Dell Metzger age 94, of Rock Rapids, IA passed away peacefully March 17, 2019 at Lyon Specialty Care in Rock Rapids, IA.

     Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Apostolic Christian Church in Lester, IA.

     Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery rural Lester, IA.

     Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20th with family present from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and again at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall in Lester, IA.

     Donna Dell Metzger was born June 20, 1924 in Rock Rapids, Iowa to James and Sarah Gladys (Dell) Cunningham. She was raised in Lester, Iowa, and graduated from Lester High School.

     She was united in marriage to Kenneth Moser on March 24, 1945 in Rock Rapids, Iowa. They made their home in rural Larchwood. To this union two children were born. Ken and Donna were baptized in 1965 and became members of the Apostolic Christian Church in Lester, IA. After Ken’s passing in 1966, it was important to Donna to continue farming.

     Donna was then united in marriage to Jacob Metzger on January 12, 1969 in Lester, IA. She continued to be a homemaker and helped care for Jacob’s children.

      Donna was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was deeply loved by her family.

     Those left to cherish her memory are Donn (Joyce) Moser of Larchwood, IA, Beth (Gary) Metzger of Larchwood, IA, Eugene (Dolores) Metzger, Dale (Chris) Metzger, Eleanor Popkes, Barbara Reutter, William (Charlotte) Metzger, Marvin (Joleen) Metzger, all of Rock Rapids, IA, Mary (Lloyd) Massner of Burlington, IA, Margene (David) Peasley of Rock Rapids, IA, and Jane (Wayne) Klotzle of Seville, OH; two brothers, Rodger (Marge) Cunningham of Spring Valley, CA, and Kenneth (Sandy) Cunningham of Red Wing, MN; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 36 step grandchildren, and 90 step great grandchildren.

     She is preceded in death by her parents James and Gladys Cunningham; husbands, Kenneth Moser, and Jacob Metzger; step daughters Eileen Metzger and Linda (Jim) Moser; step sons in law Eddie Popkes, and Alfred Reutter; and step grandchild Chad Popkes.
