      Douglas Knobloch age 62, of Rock Rapids, IA left this world for his eternal home on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Avera Merrill Pioneer Hospital in Rock Rapids, Iowa.

     Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Lester, IA.  Burial will follow in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery at Lester, IA.

     Visitation with be Wednesday, July 14^th with family present from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall in Lester, IA.

     Memorials may be directed to the Beecin Hospice Foundation (www.beecin.org).

     Douglas Knobloch was born August 25, 1958, in Rock Rapids, IA the son of Dale and Mary Ellen (Metzger) Knobloch of rural Larchwood, IA.  Doug is a 1976 graduate of West Lyon Community Schools and also studied Ag Business at NICC in Sheldon, IA.  Doug married Kathy Schubert on July 18, 1981, and they were blessed with two daughters.

     Doug worked in various agriculture related jobs most of his life in northwest Iowa.  He also co-owned/operated G&D Bait Shop in Rock Rapids for several years. Most importantly, he made a decision to put his faith in Jesus Christ in April of 2021.  Doug left this world for his eternal home on Monday, July 12, 2021, at the age of sixty-two.

     Surviving are his two daughters, Candra Knobloch and Jessica Drewes both of Rock Rapids, his father, Dale Knobloch of Rock Rapids, five siblings, Karen (Ray) Glammeier of Sioux Falls, SD, Mike (Bonnie) Knobloch of lnwood, IA, Lori (Rolyce) Scheitlin of Remington, IN, Stan (Dawn) Knobloch of Rock Rapids, IA, and Patti (Kurt) Bahler of West Lafayette, IN, good friend and caregiver, Michelle Garcia of Rock Rapids, IA, along with many nieces and nephews.

     Doug was preceded in death by his wife and his mother.
