     Faith Kruse age 67, of Rock Rapids, IA, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at her home in Rock Rapids, IA.

     A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Christian Reformed Church in Rock Rapids, IA with Pastor Doug De Groot, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery at Rock Rapids, IA.

     Visitation will be Wednesday, June 16^th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids. 

     Memorials are preferred and may be directed to: Saint Jude’s or BEECIN Foundation Hospice.

      Faith LaVonne (Fikse) Kruse was born February 1, 1954, at Rock Rapids, IA the daughter of Everett and Catherine (Proost) Fikse.  Faith grew up in Hills, MN where she attended Hills Christian School thru the 8^th grade and graduated from Hills Beaver Creek High School in 1972.  After graduation she moved to California for a year. She returned and soon after was united in marriage to Harlan “Butch” Kruse on April 19,1975, at the Hills Christian Reformed Church.  Faith was employed at K-Products from 1973 – 1999 in their production department and later as a receptionist.  From 1999 -2004 she was a receptionist and sales associate at Foreign Candy Company in Hull, IA.   From 2004 until 2013 she was employed at Kruse Rendering.  Faith was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Rock Rapids and was active in the VFW women’s auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and was a hospice volunteer.  Her family fondly remembers enjoying her cooking talents.  Her famous dishes include homemade tacos, potato salad, sausage gravy, “The Beef”, banana bars and fried rice. She was a wonderful cook.  She showed so much love in her cooking and sharing the food she prepared.  Faith and Butch enjoyed traveling for 4 winters to Texas, spending time with their grandchildren and attending their games and concerts.  This past Sunday morning, June 13, 2021, she lost her 8-month battle with cancer at the age of sixty-seven.

     She will be greatly missed by her husband, Harlan “Butch” Kruse of Rock Rapids, IA; their sons, Deric (Erica) Kruse of Larchwood, IA and Lance (Marie) Kruse of Rock Rapids, IA; three grandchildren, Brooklyn, Carter and Mason; her siblings, Leroy Fikse of Artesia, CA; Judy DeBondt of Bakersfield, CA; Rodney (Mac) Fikse of Artesia, CA; Lois (Alan) Leuthold of Hills, MN and Joni (Steve) Michael of Larchwood, IA; brothers-in-law, Ken Nagel of Sioux Falls, SD and Eldon (Deb) Kruse of Rock Rapids, IA; sisters-in-law, Idel (Keith) Woodruff of Prescott Valley, AZ, Marge (Rich) Lorenzen of Sherburn, MN and Twila (Warren) Harms of Rock Rapids, IA; and many nieces and nephews. 

     Faith was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Catherine Fikse; brothers, Eugene, Donavan and Gary Fikse; father and mother-in-law, Harry and Donna Kruse; nephew, Aaron DeBondt niece, Lori LaCour; brother-in-law, Marlin Johnson and sister-in-law, Arlys Nagel.
