Fay Federico

     Fay Federico age 94 of Rock Rapids, IA died Monday, September 2, 2019 at Rock Rapids Health Centre in Rock Rapids.

     Services will be at a later date.

     Fay Arlene Federico was born October 22, 1924 in Lewistown, Montana to Charles and Bernice (Barney) Cox. She was raised in the Lewistown, MT and Seattle, WA area and graduated from high school in Seattle.

     On July 2, 1948 she was united in marriage to Alfred Federico at Seattle, WA. After their marriage Fay made their home at Huntington Beach, CA while husband Al continued his naval career.

     After retirement the couple moved to Rock Rapids in 1994. Alfred passed away in September of 2000. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and knitting.

     Fay was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids where she was a member of ILCW and the American Legion Auxiliary.

     She is survived by son, James (Eileen) Federico of Rock Rapids, IA; daughters, Dolores (Blake) Wolfswinkel of Okoboji, IA, Maria (Greg) Sweidan of Ontario, CA and Linda Sepulveda of Shawnee, OK; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

     Fay was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, Alfred; daughter, Colleen Sweet; brothers, Roger Cox and Paul Cox; and three infant brothers.
