Grant Bosch, age 49 of Hartford, SD died unexpectedly on Monday, July 6, 2020 in Hartford, SD.
Memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, July 13, 2020 at the Steen Reformed Church in Steen, MN, with Pastor Jason Martens officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery in Steen, MN.
Visitation, with family present, will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at the church on Monday July 13th. People are encouraged to use social distancing protocol.
In Lieu of flowers family request memorials to be directed at a later date.
Grant Alan Bosch was born April 19, 1971 in Aberdeen, SD. At age 6 weeks, Grant became the son of Roger and Carole (Martens) Bosch. He was raised on a farm near McKenzie, TN from age 3-13. He loved farm life, enjoyed all the livestock, swimming at the Clay Pits, hunting on the farmland, and just generally having fun. He attended school in McKenzie, TN, Colo IA, and then graduated high school from Savannah, MO. Grant excelled in long distance running, holding school records in 1600 and 3200 meter runs for many years.
After high school, Grant enlisted in the Marines. In his 4 years enlistment, he was stationed stateside and served in Desert Storm. After the military, he worked in Omaha, NE at Compaq computer, then moved to IA and worked at the COOP in Doon, IA. In 2011 he moved to MN and worked for Orion Foods, Grand Prairie Foods and finally at Tri-State Flooring. Grant moved to Hartford, SD three days before he passed away.
Grant was married and later divorced, to Isilda Fauentes. He had two stepchildren, Nick, and Crystal.
Grant enjoyed riding his bike, watching Husker football with his nephews, Noah, and Jonah, tinkering with wood and spending time loving on his cat, Kaley.
Grant is survived by his parents, Roger and Carole (Martens) Bosch, a sister, Anita Bosch of Sharon, TN, brothers, Jeff (Janet) Bosch of Valley Center, KS, Jeremy (Sarah) Bosch of Shakopee. MN; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Also, his cat Kaley, who he loved and spoiled.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Bosch; and grandparents, Bill and Bertha Bosch and Jim and Gertie Martens.
