     Harold Woelber age 89, of George, IA, died Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull, IA.

        Prayer service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the Jurrens Funeral Home in George, IA with Pastor Jeromy Winter, officiating. 

     Burial will follow in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery at George, IA, with military honors by the Jack Sauter American Legion Post No. 404 of George, IA.

     Visitation will be Saturday, February 25^th from 9:30 until time of services, with the family present at the Jurrens Funeral Home of George. 

     Harold Claus Woelber was born on October 6^th, 1933, in George, Iowa and passed away February 21^st, 2023, at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home in Hull, Iowa at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 15 days.

     Harold grew up outside of George on the farm with his brother Lawrence and his parents Claus and Wilhelmina. Harold attended school until the 8^th grade, then worked on the family farm till he left to serve in the army from 1955-1959. He married his wife Grace (Henricks) on October 26^th, 1957. They lived on the Woelber Family Farm and started their family.

     Harold always liked his cup of coffee in the morning and in the afternoon. He enjoyed working on wood projects, putting puzzles together with Grace, visiting with the animals on the farm, bird watching, making the daily walk to the mailbox, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

     Harold is survived by his wife Grace Woelber of George, IA; his children Brian (Char) Woelber Sheldon, IA; Elaine (Doug) Cherry Larchwood, IA; Loren Woelber of George, IA; Linda Woelber (Ed Hoekstra) of Tucson, AZ; Sharon Stevenson of Sheldon, IA; Bruce Woelber of George, IA and Becky DeYoung of Paullina, IA. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by Wilhelmina, mother; Claus, father; Lawrence, brother; and Harold and Grace’s infant daughter.
