     Jane Albers age 80 of Rock Rapids, IA died Friday, April 2, 2021 at Avera Merrill Pioneer Hospital in Rock Rapids, IA.

     Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6^th at First Reformed Church of Rock Rapids, with Rev. Dan Haggar officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids.

     Visitation will be Monday, April 5^th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids.

     Johanna Jane Albers was born November 4, 1940 in Rock Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Jennie (Roelofs) Van Aartsen. She attended country school and Rock Rapids High School. After her education she worked as a waitress and housekeeper. She was married to Leonard Lens in January of 1962. To this union two children were born, Kevin and Steven. They made their home in Rock Rapids. Jane’s husband, Leonard died in 1967. Jane was married to Marvin Albers in October of 1971 at the State Line Church. Three children were born to this union, Kimberly, Natalie and Jason. They lived in Rock Rapids until 1977, when they moved to Currie, MN. They returned to Rock Rapids in 1989. In 2011, Jane’s husband, Marvin died.

     Jane worked many years at K-Products in Rock Rapids. She enjoyed crossword, puzzles, and she was an avid reader. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially with her brothers and sisters.

     She is survived by her children, son, Kevin (Lori) Lens of Ellsworth, MN, step-daughter, Julia Gardner of Sioux Falls, SD, daughters, Kimberly (Conrad) Carson of Brandon, SD, Natalie (Jason) Scott of Sioux Falls, SD and son, Jason (Kimberly) Albers of Sioux Falls, SD; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Van Aartsen of Orange City, IA and John (Ruth) Van Aartsen of Rock Rapids, IA; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Van Aartsen of Luverne, MN; and many other extended family members.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jennie Van Aartsen; 1^st husband, Leonard Lens; 2^nd husband, Marvin G. Albers; and her son, Steven Lens.
