Janice D. Maxwell, age 83 of Sibley passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2024 at the Country View Manor in Sibley, IA.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley, Iowa with Melissa Anderson leading the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service also at the Jurrens Funeral Home Friday.

 Janice Donita Maxwell was born May 24,1941 in Ashton, Iowa, the daughter of Charles Marshall and Gertrude Grave. She attended school in George and was a graduate of George High School. Janice later attained her nursing degree and was a nurse in Luverne, MN for 40 years. She spent most of her life in Luverne where she made many close friends over the years. Three years ago, Janice entered the Country View Manor in Sibley where she lived until her death. Janice particularly enjoyed it when her family would stop in for a visit. 

Janice is survived by two sisters; Ronalda (Dennis) Zylstra and Juanita (Richard) Gunderman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Marshall and Gertrude Maxwell; brothers Ardell (Lauretta), Dale (Beloris) and Donald; and a sister Fern (Leo).
