Jason Marks

Ashton, IA Jason M. Marks age 45 of Ashton, Iowa died Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. A celebration of life will be Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Ashton Bible Church in Ashton. The Marks family is handling arrangements. Jason was born January 19, 1977, at home in Sioux City Iowa, to Linda Ann Pick. Jason attended Remsen Union Community School. He enjoyed taekwondo, all types of art, was an avid craftsman, enjoyed blacksmithing, fishing, and being outdoors. Most recently he pursued his dream of auto bodywork by enrolling in Western Iowa Tech Community College where he was soon to graduate with honors in May. On June 2, 2012, he was united in marriage to Jessica (Scheibler) Marks. During this union, they enjoyed spending time with their 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Jason was a loving husband and father and put his family first in everything that he did. He worked hard to support the dreams and goals of his family, all while making memories his wife and kids will carry with them for a lifetime. He is survived by his wife Jessica, three children: Kaitlynn (Will) of Remsen, IA and their children Leeland, Kira, and Lucas; Dylan of Orange City, IA; and Trinity of Ashton, IA; mother Linda Pick of Remsen, IA; brothers, Morrie (Heather) of Remsen, IA; Chris (Melissa) of West Bend, IA; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Pat and Wendel Staab.
