Jean Ann Dodge

Inwood, IA Jean Dodge age 80, of Inwood, IA died, December 7, 2022, at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Jurrens Funeral Home of Larchwood is in charge of services. Jean Ann Dodge was born January 3, 1942, in Chester, South Dakota, the daughter of Edwin and Arlene (Johnson) Nelson. She was raised near Chester, SD and attended rural country school and Chester High School. She also attended cosmetology school. She married Gerald Dodge in Flandreau, SD and lived in Inwood, IA. Two sons were blessed to this union. She owned and operated a beauty salon called Golden Halo Salon in Inwood IA. She later worked at Sioux Falls Paint and Glass. After Gerald’s passing Jean met a special companion, George Keizer and lived in Inwood, IA. She enjoyed flower gardening, golfing, playing Gin Rummy and loved being around other people. She was known for her classy appearance! She is survived by her two sons, Greg (wife Pam) Dodge of Merrill, WI and Scott “Louie” (wife Lisa) Dodge of Larchwood, IA; four grandchildren, Jared (wife Kely) Dodge, McKenna Marion, Macy Marion and Grahm Dodge; one great-grandchild, JJ; a sister, Jan (husband Tom) Becker of Colmen, SD; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Nelson of The Villages, FL; and several other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Arlene Nelson, husband Gerald Dodge; two brothers, Michael and Jim Nelson; and special friend, George Keizer.
