     Jon Weitgenant age 72 of Worthington, Minnesota died Sunday, June 2, 2024.

     Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:30 AM, Friday, June 7, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ashton, Iowa with Father Siby Punnoose, Father Tim Biren, and Msgr. Richard Colletti concelbrating.  A rosary will take place at 9:00 AM, prior to visitation.  

     Visitation will take place Friday morning starting at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ashton.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Worthington FFA in Jon's memory.

     Jon James Weitgenant, son of William and Marian (Wass) Weitgenant, was born January 19, 1952, in Worthington, MN. He graduated from Worthington High School in 1970, Worthington Junior College in 1972, and Mankato Technical College in 1974. On September 1, 1984, he married Rose Arning, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ashton, IA. In 2012 he retired from Land O'Lakes after 35 years of service to the cooperative system.

     Jon is survived by his wife, Rose; son, John (Kelsey); daughter, Jessica (Justin); grandchildren Jack, Claire, Nicholas, Quinn; brother, William (Delores); brother, Ned (Ruth); and brother-in-law, Denny Werner. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, DeAnn.
