Judith Roghair age 79 of Sibley, IA died Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley, IA.
A funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 13th at the Ashton Bible Church in Ashton, IA, with Pastor Dan Kunnari and Pastor Doug Noonkester officiating.
Burial will be at 1:00 PM at Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley, IA
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 12th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with family present at Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley.
Judith Joy Roghair was born June 9, 1939 at Burr, Minnesota, the daughter of Merle “Shorty” and Florence (Feldkamp) Howard. As a young girl her family lived various places, including Topeka, KS, Canby, MN and Sibley, IA. She was united in marriage to Edward J. Roghair on January 5, 1956 in Hospers, IA. They lived in several communities in the area before making their home in Sibley.
Judith was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sibley, IA, also attended evening service at the Ashton Bible Church. She attended various bible studies and Wednesday night church throughout the years. She enjoyed watching Fox News, reading and Tea Time with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed her time with her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
In July of 2018 Judith entered Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley and remained there until her death this past Saturday, September 8, 2018. She is survived by three daughters, Jill Vander Plaats of Ashton, IA, Deborah Roghair of Sibley, IA and Julie Roghair of Sibley, IA; two granddaughters, Tess (Mike) Betz of George, IA and Lindsey Senn of Sibley, IA; four great-grandchildren, Jude Betz, Sara Betz, Tucker Senn and Mea Schroder; two sisters-in-law, Geri Howard of Round Lake, MN and Hermina Wichers of Alton, IA; a brother-in-law, Nicky (Lilly) Roghair of Alton, IA; and many other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Florence Howard; her son, Todd H. Roghair; husband, of 50 years of marriage, Edward Roghair; a brother, Spencer Howard; and a sister, Sandra Austin.
