Katherine "Kathy" Louise Seggerman

     Kathy Seggerman, age 70, of Sioux Falls, SD, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, February 18, 2023, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.

    Due to weather the Seggerman service has been postponed until 10:30 AM, Friday, February 24th at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids. 

     Kathy (Chaney) Seggerman was born on August 6, 1952, in Sioux Falls SD to parents Wayne and Marge Chaney.  Kathy grew up in Sioux Falls where she met the love of her life, Willy Seggerman. They were married on March 27,1976 and enjoyed 25 years of love and partnership. They enjoyed riding Harleys together exploring the countryside.  Kathy held many jobs, however the most rewarding to her was working as a housekeeper. She loved talking to patients and residents. Outside of work, Kathy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed family vacations and gatherings. Kathy enjoyed baking, cooking, playing cards and traveling.

     Kathy is survived by her son, Will Seggerman (Amber); her daughter, Melissa Metzger (Brett); and her five grandchildren, Grayson Metzger, Calais Metzger, Payton Metzger, Adalyn Seggerman, and Easton Seggerman. Her siblings Patty DeHeer (Duane), Libby Friman (Doug), Doug Chaney (Janice), Mary Jacobson (Jake), Tim Chaney, Wanita Amundson (Doug) and Wayne Chaney (Liz). As well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

     She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
