Kathy Darlene Mitchell

     Kathy Mitchell age 63 of Rock Rapids, IA died Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

     A private graveside service will be planned at a later date in the Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids, IA.

     Kathy Darlene Mitchell was born in Rochester, NY, the daughter of Donald and Maxine (Church) Ross. She was raised in New York and Pennsylvania. After high school she earned her nursing degree. She entered the U.S. Army. After receiving her discharge, she was united to Verlin Mitchell. Together they lived several places such as Alabama, Louisiana, Iowa, Pennsylvania and Germany.

     Kathy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Verlin Mitchell of Rock Rapids, IA; a daughter, Amber Renee Van Breemen of Washington; and sister, Deborah Markle of Pennsylvania.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Maxine Ross.
