Kelly Wayne Deberg

     Kelly DeBerg age 72 of Rock Rapids, IA died suddenly on Friday, November 4, 2022, at his home near Rock Rapids, IA.

     There will not be a service, but family is planning to bury Kelly’s cremains at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD.

     Kelly Wayne DeBerg was born on May 28, 1950, in Sibley, IA, the son of Kenneth and Amy (Dirks) DeBerg. He grew up in Rock Rapids and attended and graduated from Central Lyon High School. Kelly then served in the U.S. Airforce for twenty years from February 25, 1975, to February 28, 1995. He served in the Persian Gulf and was later honorable discharged with the rank of Master Sergeant (E-7).

     Kelly was united in marriage to Mary Hodge in June of 1969, and they were married for five years. He then married Brenda Lester in June of 1977 and they have been married for thirty-two years.

     Kelly is survived by his wife Brenda, son, Kasey DeBerg and daughter, Tadgi DeBerg; three grandchildren; and one sister, Mickie Paluch.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth, and Amy DeBerg.
