Larry Leroy Mullinix

     Larry Mullinix age 78 of Sibley, Iowa died on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Osceola Regional Hospital in Sibley, IA.

     Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 8, 2021 at United Methodist Church in Sibley, IA with Pastor Steve Swenson officiating. Burial will follow at Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley.

     Visitation will take place with family present on Wednesday April 7^th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Jurrens Funeral Home Walton Chapel in Sibley.

     In lieu of flowers family prefer memorials.

     Larry LeRoy Mullinix was born on February 28, 1943 in Canton, SD, the son of Eugene and Clara (Veenis) Mullinix. He grew up and attended school in Canton, SD.

     On October 21, 1989, he was united in marriage to Beverly Schwanke at the United Methodist Church in Sibley, IA.    

     Larry worked various jobs throughout his life such as construction, railroad, Swift and Sudenga. He loved going to auctions, VFW, Rebar, and was a member of the Eagles Club in Worthington, MN. Larry also enjoyed fishing, bowling league, pool league, casinos, BINGO, playing pinochle, car shows, and driving around town listing to country music in his old cars. He will be greatly missed.

     Larry is survived by his wife of 31 years, Beverly Mullinix of Sibley, IA; three sons, Donald (Carolyn) Servold of Denver, CO, Larry (Jennifer) Mullinix of Dell Rapids, SD, and Todd Mullinix of Sioux Falls, SD; step-daughters, Amy (Doug) Strouth of Sheldon, IA, Nicole Hadenfeldt of Des Moines, IA, Audrey Adams (Chris Waterman) of Sheldon, IA, Laura Shefte of Fairmont, MN, and Shari Denning of Sibley, IA; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Billy (Rebecca) Mullinix of Yuma, AZ; nieces, nephews and other extended family.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Clara Mullinix; 4 siblings, Shirley Mullinix Snook, Sharon Mullinix Myott, Gerald “Junior” Mullinix and Linda Mullinix Williams.
