Linda De Boer

Linda DeBoer age 67 of Sibley, Iowa formerly of George died Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Sibley Specialty Care.

    A funeral service will take place 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the First Baptist Church, rural George, with pastor Jesse Sternke, officiating.  Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church cemetery.

     Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.

Linda Helene DeBoer, 67, of Sibley passed away at Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley, Iowa on Saturday, October 23, 2021.  She now rests peacefully with her Lord and Savior.  She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

Linda was born February 4, 1954 in Sibley, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Clara DeBoer of Little Rock, IA.  She graduated from Little Rock High School in 1972.  She lived most of her life in Rock Valley, IA where she worked at Hope Haven.  Linda was content being single and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Linda enjoyed watching football and especially the Dallas Cowboys and watching John Hagee ministries each weekday morning and other inspirational Christian speakers such as Joyce Meyer.  She loved puppies and collecting their photos.

In May of 2017 Linda developed complications after having knee surgery and became a resident of Sibley Specialty Care.  She enjoyed visitors and her faith in God sustained her throughout her stay where she received excellent care.

Linda is survived by two brothers:  Dale (Marilynn) DeBoer, LeRoy (Glenda) DeBoer, both from Sibley and one sister:  Marilyn Vaupel from Eau Claire, WI.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews:  Roger (Theresa) DeBoer, Nelva DeBoer, Marianne Bartelson, Jason (Athena) Berning, Karla Crichton, Chad (Cacy) Vaupel, and Jill (Mark) Greseth.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Peter & Clara DeBoer, and her brother-in-law Dennis Vaupel.

A special thank you to the staff of Sibley Specialty Care for their excellent love and care of Linda.
