     Lois Lienemann age 90 of Rock Rapids, Iowa died Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Lyon Specialty Care in Rock Rapids, IA.

     Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, July 18^th at Peace Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids, IA, with Rev. Alex Sloter officiating.

     Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday, July 18^th at Peace Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids.

     Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids.

     Lois Freda Lienemann was born February 10, 1932, in Garfield Township, near Doon, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Amanda (Clausing) Lienemann.

     She was baptized on April 3, 1932, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Iowa by Rev. George Hoelscher. She was confirmed into the Lutheran faith on April 14, 1946, at Peace Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids, Iowa by Rev. Alfred Christiansen. She attended country school and graduated in May 1946. She then started working for families in their homes, taking care of sick, doing their cleaning, laundry and cooking meals. She also helped on the family farm with many tasks and field work. She moved with her parents to town on August 1, 1986, where she cared for them until their death. She continued doing housework for others in their needs. In 2004, her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Henry Hopmann moved in with her due to their declining health. She cared for them until Henry passed away in 2008 and Ruth in June 2012. Lois was an active volunteer at the nursing homes, Meals on Wheels and her church. She was a member of the Golden Age and Daughters of Peace. She held offices in both organizations. She enjoyed playing cards, baking sour cream raisin bars and canning.

     Lois is survived by cousins and special friends.

     She was preceded in death by parents, sister, Ruth Hopmann and brother-in-law, Henry Hopmann.
