     Loyce Bossard age 99, of George, IA died Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at George Good Samaritan Society in George, IA.   

     Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in George, IA, with Reverend John Pea officiating.

    Loyce (Kruger) Bossard was born July 12, 1921 the daughter of Peter and Carrie (Haack) Kruger. She lived her youth with her parents on a farm southeast of George where she attended country school. Loyce married Fredrick Bossard on February 14, 1940. They began their life together on a farm near Tilden, NE. After two years they moved to Iowa where they farmed in Lyon and Sioux County until 1981 when they retired in George. Their marriage was blessed with three sons. When she was able, Loyce enjoyed drinking coffee with friends, visiting shut-ins and riding her bike. Her family was very special to her. She was faithful to the Lord all her life. As living at her home became more difficult for her, she became a resident of the George Good Samaritan Society where she died this past Wednesday morning, December 2, 2020 at the age of ninety-nine.

     She is survived by her son, Dennis and his wife, Cathy of Cedar Rapids, IA; her daughter-in-law, Elaine Bossard of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; one step granddaughter; three step great grandchildren; 5 step great great grandchildren; one sister, Pauline and husband Clarence Stubbe of George, IA; special nieces, Marilyn, Marcia and Klarice; and other nieces and nephews and many friends.

     Loyce was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters – one in infancy; her husband, Fredrick; two sons, Gary and Fredrick; grandson, Bob and a great grandson, Jacob; one sister-in-law, Eva and husband Berven Forde; brothers-in-law, B Carl and wife Dorothy, and Earl and wife Freda.
