     Lucille Daniels age 85 of George, Iowa died Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

     Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2020 at the Lyon County First Presbyterian Church rural George, IA, with Pastor Brian Schafer officiating. Private burial for family will take place prior to the service.

     Visitation will be Sunday, July 26th with family present from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Lyon County First Presbyterian Church rural George, IA.

     Lucille Daniels was born on October 24, 1934 in Nobles County, MN, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Schipper) Reiter. Lucille grew up by Rushmore, MN, at the age of nine her family moved to Ocheyedan, IA. She attended country school through 8th grade and later graduated from Sibley High School in 1954. Before getting married Lucille worked for Co-Op Oil in Sibley as a bookkeeper.

     On March 20, 1959, she was united in marriage to Simon Daniels at the Trinity Reformed Church in Sibley, IA. To this union five children were born Marlin, Linda, David, Glenn, and Janet. Lucille not only was a homemaker, but she also helped her husband with their Dairy Farm operation.

     Lucille was a member of the Lyon County First Presbyterian Church rural George, IA, where she was a member of the Dorcas Society. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and baking. Anytime someone stopped by, she always would offer to feed them lunch or if it were later at least to have a piece of pie. Lucille loved to go out and visit people and every Christmas would bring Christmas goodies to the nursing home residents.

     Left to cherish her memory are her five children: Marlin Daniels of George, IA, Linda (Bob) Martens of Ashton, IA, David (Lisa) Daniels of George, IA, Glenn Daniels of George, IA and Janet (Tim) Walker of George, IA; eight grandchildren: Sherry (Matthew) Michell of Ashton, IA, Matt (Jackie) Daniels of George, IA, Kenny (Crystal) Daniels of George, IA, Steven Martens of Ashton, IA, Clinton (Jodi) Daniels of George, IA, Tracy (Brandon) Kruse of Little Rock, IA, Jennifer (Andrew) Lobien of Salem, SD, and Justin Walker of Ashton, IA; seventeen great-grandchildren: Ashlee, Tyler, Elijah, Joanna, Kirra, Michelle, Sawyer, Xavier, Lane, Simon, Mason, Kade, Sydney, Brantley, Emmersyn, Madilyn, and Gabriel; three siblings: Ruby Janssen of Sibley, IA, Donna Grave of Sibley, IA, and Paul (Carmen) Reiter of Sibley, IA; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

     She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anna Reiter; her husband, Simon Daniels; four brothers: Harvey in infancy, Earl Dale and Ronald; and four brothers-in-law: Gerrit Vreeman, Marv Grave, Harold TenCate and Harold Janssen.
