     Luetta Ann Braun age 90 of Rock Rapids, IA died Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Lyon Specialty Care in Rock Rapids, IA.

     Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 16^th at the United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids, IA, with Rev. Travis Remme officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids.

     Visitation will be Monday, November 15^th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids.

Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church of Rock Rapids.

Luetta (Lou) Ann Braun, daughter of Antone and Marjorie (Howland) Cassens, joined our world on March 10, 1931 in George, Iowa.  She spent her childhood and attended school in George.  On June 25, 1948, she was united in marriage to Harold Braun.  Together the couple farmed for several years.  Moving to Rock Rapids in 1968, Lou worked at Super Value, Merrill Pioneer Hospital, and Corner Rexall where she continued to work until she was 84 years young!

She and Harold moved to Sioux Falls, SD for 14 years where they managed Country Club Estates.  After their retirement in 1993, they moved back to Rock Rapids. 

Lou was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids.  She enjoyed quilting, puzzle books, and especially visiting with family and friends!  She moved into Premier Estates in March 2020 and became a resident at Care Initiatives in June 2021, where she peacefully passed on November 10, 2021.

She is survived by three children: Doug (Lari) Braun of Schertz, TX; Peggy Feltman of Sioux Falls, SD;  and Jean (Bub) Vande Weerd of Rock Rapids, IA and a daughter-in-law Laurie Braun of Sioux Falls, SD.  Lou is lovingly remembered by 9 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother Bob Cassens of Trimont, MN and a sister-in-law Sandy Cassens of Bloomington, MN and many nieces and nephews.

Lou joins her husband Harold, her parents, her son Steve, her son-in-law Steve Feltman, a grandson Casey Braun, two sisters and three brothers in heaven.

Thank you to everyone for helping us celebrate a very special angel.  Lou’s favorite color is red, so please help us celebrate her by wearing red!  Blessed be her memory.
