     Lynn Willemssen age 67 of Fulda, MN, formerly of George, Iowa died Monday, December 23, 2019 at Sunset Hospice Cottage of Worthington, Minnesota.

     A memorial service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, December 30^th at Jurrens Funeral Home of George, IA, with Pastor Bryan Anderson officiating.

     Visitation will be Monday, December 30^th one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

     Lynn La-Dell Willemssen was born December 29, 1951 in Rock Rapids, Iowa, the son of Walter and Valoris (Solma) Willemssen. He grew up on a family farm 4 miles north of George, IA and attended the George Community School. He graduated from George High School in 1970. He continued his education at Northwest Iowa College in Auto Body. He worked for a short while at an auto body shop in Little Rock, IA before working as a carpenter for Stewart Construction in Rock Rapids, IA.  In 1977 he began farming near Fulda, MN until the past year, raising pigs, sheep and crops. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2013.

     In his younger years he hitch-hiked for many months around the United States. He enjoyed cars, pickups and especially motorcycles. He attended the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and took several other motorcycle trips with his brother and friends.

     He is survived by his brother, Barry (wife Sonja) Willemssen of George, IA; 2 aunts, Viola Aberson of Rochester, MN and Elaine Heidebrink of Little Rock, IA; an uncle, Dale (wife Joyce) Solma of Little Rock, IA; nephew, David Willemssen (special friend Laura Love) of Fayetteville, AK; nieces, Katie Willemssen (special friend Andy Taverna) of Tea, SD; and several other extended family.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Valoris Willemssen; brother, Scott Willemssen; and several aunts and uncles.
