     Marion McCormack, age 69 of Rock Rapids, IA died Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Lyon Specialty Care of Rock Rapids.

     Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, June 10^th at United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids, IA, with Rev. Dean Shelly officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids, IA.

     Visitation will be Monday, June 10^th from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.

     Marion John McCormack was born June 19, 1949 in Rock Rapids, IA, the son of Herbert Pierce and Dorothy (Tiedeman) McCormack. He was raised in Rock Rapids and graduated from Central Lyon High School in 1967. He continued his education at South Dakota State University and received a degree in pharmacy. Marion worked as a pharmacist in Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota.

     On November 25, 1980 Marion was united in marriage to Linda Haegele at the United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids. They made their home in Rock Rapids and Marion continued as a pharmacist until he retired in 2001.

     He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Rock Rapids and enjoyed physical fitness, especially running.

     He is survived by wife, Linda McCormack of Rock Rapids, IA; two sisters, Marie D. Schmidt of Rock Rapids, IA and Kathryn McCormack of Omaha, NE; a niece, Claire Rosales of Omaha, NE; a great-nephew and great-nieces, Brandon, Danya, Josie and Melanie; and other extended family.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert McCormack; mother, Dorothy McCormack; and brother, Marvin McCormack.
