Mark Jay Schrick, 70, lived life on his own terms, right until the end. He loved spending time on the porch with his family on pretty days, riding his Harley with his God Speed Biker Ministries family, missions to help others, animals and his dog Scooter, and kids. Mark was a talented crane operator for many years. He was especially fond of Younglove, who he retired from as a loyal and dedicated employee. His coworkers had a special place in his heart, all the way to his last day.
He passed comfortably in his own home with his son, Cory Schrick, and his daughter-in-law, Kriston, by his side in Midland, TX on the evening of January 5th, 2024.
He was deeply loved and will be truly missed by all of us. He was a blessing in our lives!
He is survived by his grandchildren Jordan and Tessa Beitelspacher of Le Mars, IA and Braylon Schrick of Midland, TX; his niece Wendy Jones, her husband Ernie, and their children Brianna and Erin of New Braunfels, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Gertrude Schrick of George, IA; his sister, Marla Hunter of Le Mars, IA.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 26 at 2:00 pm in George, IA at Evergreen Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to God Speed Biker Ministries in remembrance of Mark’s life. A very special group of people and mission in his later years.
For questions or to contact Mark’s family, reach out to Kriston Schrick at 512-373-6033.
Ride fast, loud and without worry, Pops. You are loved and dearly missed.
